In the bizarre digital world of "The Amazing Digital Circus," a new human named Pomni finds herself trapped after putting on a mysterious VR headset. She learns from the other residents—Ragatha, Jax, Zooble, Kinger, and Gangle—that they are all unable to leave this bizarre realm, run by the erratic AI, Caine. Their lives consist of "adventures" designed to stave off insanity, like a quest to gather mischievous Gloinks. During an adventure, Pomni discovers that one of the residents, Kaufmo, has "abstracted" into a terrifying, glitched monster. Desperate, she flees and stumbles upon a series of doors that lead to a seemingly endless hallway of "exits," which ultimately take her to a blank void. Caine rescues her, revealing the "exits" were an unfinished project and that there is no real way to leave. After Caine restores everyone and celebrates the "victory" with a feast, Pomni's sanity begins to unravel as she faces the grim reality of her new, inescapable prison.
